The Bracket Quiz

[Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says]

You only have to look at other media that stand around broadcasting to see unregulated environments.

[Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?]
An unused, not plugged in printer.

[What is the last thing you watched on TV?]
Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. I love this show. Tonight it starred Omar Sherif who said some hilariously non pc things, the somewhat too prim and proper Julia Stiles (I really want to see Oleana.. anyone want to join me?), Jools Holland and Aqualung.

[With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?]
Scissor Sisters – Someone to touch

[When did you last step outside?]
Yesterday evening when I got home after a long drive back from Bristol.

[Before you came to this website, what did you look at?]
Relly‘s blog.

[Did you dream last night?]
Yeah I don’t think its suitable for publication though.

[What is on the walls of the room you are in?]

Hmm nothing that much. In the study at home. I have a clock which I nicked from my sixth form study room when the school shut down. (Ooh maybe they will read my blog and through a disciplinary on me ;) ), lots of school certificates, and a very unme dreamcatcher which some friend who obviously knows nothing about things I like bought for me and my grandad randomly stuck the ugly thing on my wall.

[Seen anything weird lately?]
Heidi with a pop sock over her head.

[What do you think of this quiz?]
It allowed me to plug the scissor sisters again so good.

[What is the last movie you saw?]
Hmmm. I think it was 28 Days later with Mel, Nil & Hagen Daz in my room towards the end of term. The cinematography is gorgeous and I very much enjoyed the first 2/3rds of the film but then it went somewhat off the boil.

[If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?]
A radio station,

[If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?]
Hmm.
Stumped.
Oh… to erase the world of prejudices and bigotry.

[Do you like to dance?]
Does Ed like women?

[George Bush?]
Daddy!

[Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?]
Hmm. I’m sure I used to have ideas for this when I was about 15. It’s the kind of thing girls sit around and talk about. But I think I always found girls names hard. Um… Buffy. No not really. Also it depends greately on the surname. Quite like Jemima – its cute as a kid and quirky as a young 20 something starlet. Like things ending in -ia too

[Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?]
I’ve always liked Josh but I’m sure that some famous person/tv show will ruin that for me. Quite like Max. And I’m sure I could think of something better if I had 9 months to put my head to it.

[Would you ever consider living abroad?]
I see myself as liking New York and wanting to live there. But having never been there I could be totally wrong. Hopefully will get to go around Xmas time.

You’re disgusting, oh and you’re nasty

I’ve been away in Bristol doing work experience at Creation, and organising the manic but potentially amazing SRA Conference. We’ve been working really hard to make this a fantastic conferenec and it really looks like it migth be one. Check out our plans here.

So what going on, what to tell you me snuggles…

-> This was ages ago but I went to Speech Radio run by the Radio Academy towards the end of February. This year it was focusesed around Breakfast Shows and featured lots of fantastic speakers and sessions, in particular Mouth to Mouth which discussed the format of call in shows, a session run by Neil Pringle from BBC SCR, and the ever lovely Colin Murray. I’m going to Music Radio in a few weeks which looks equally as good if not better !

-> Last weekend I was stuck for something to do so planned Saturday night out in London with the RaW gang. Went over to Jamie’s on the way as it was in the middle of the route between Bristol & London. Got drunk in Marlborough and had a great time, thanks to Jamie for the hospitality! Saturday was excellent, went for a lucious meal in Browns at Leicester Square with Pauly & Dave, Fadefast, Stu and Russ H before us meeting a whole host of others in a pub. My camera did end up with a whole host of photos of Stuart’s crotch tho (may I point out not taken by me!!!!!!) but you will have to wait until I’m back at uni and can upload those photos for that pleasure.

-> On Tuesday night Heidi & I spent the evening in London at the Sony Awards nominations party which was pretty good fun. I was a bit worried about going alone and not knowing anyone but we managed to scab a ticket for Heidi from somewhere. Met some cool people and got drunk with one of the nominees from BBC 7 who was a sound bloke. Kevin was there hosting it so we caught up with him and lots of ASRA people which was pretty cool. Moonie & Garrido joined us later on in the pub and I got smashed on wine..

-> SCISSOR SISTERS!!!!!!!!!!!! Went to see them last Wednesday at Bristol SU. I’ve been a fan since I heard Comfortably Numb and then got the album, and let me tell you, if you do get the chance to see them live then do because they put on a fantastic show. And don’t be all they ruined pink floyd on my ass! They are so much more than that. Jake Shears is for starters a very camp Justin Hawkins :) Trust me boys and girls, try out Filthy and Gorgeous, Return to oz or Tits on the radio or or or…….. Just goddamn by the album its fantastic. AND they are playing the final fling!!! I get to see them twice in 3 months. Yay. They are part of Carling 24 Live on May 1st. Only £10. GO and see them.

-> Talking of the final fling lineup it’s Ash (!!!!!), Scissor Sisters (!!!!!), Amy Winehouse, and Spooks. However I’ve been rather cheekily scheduled to work it, my last top b, and my last night at uni ever. I thought asking me might be somewhat curteous :-)

-> Pauly evililly convinced me on the goodness and beauty of an apple iBook during the weekend, and I’m now on the lookout for one. The Apple Refurbished store has had lots over the past month or so, but this week there weren’t any and I was muchos gutted!!

-> Congratulations go to Stuart and Krissia with their news. I think you’re crazy, but crazy in a good way :D

-> I had a very drunk phone call with a sober Pat, Pat returned the favour tenfold :D

-> I’ve decided I love cats and want one when I move to London (well maybe unless it means I can’t have a flat I love!)

-> It’s me or RON for SRA Chair….

-> Dave got his HP placement!

-> Congrats to GUST and Martin with his winning of Best Student TV Station !

-> I applied for two jobs. Fingers crossed!

-> 4 hero – Les Fleurs is the tune from the Baileys floating ad and is fantastic. I think I’m going to order the album!

And that… I think… is it!
